Inspired by a stone floor in a church where square tiles were repaired with half tiles cut on the diagonal. Maybe it was a mistake but It added a nice haphazardness to the pattern.

The pattern was first created with charcoal on paper, cut up and rearranged and rearranged again, layered and re-coloured digitally.

This version in yellow, green and white is bright and energetic. It's geometric yet textured.
